matching wallets

so after making the funky cherries wallet (see below) for a custom order, i thought it would be a good idea to make matching wallets for some of my bags. so here's the first one. the Girls Girly D Wallet! it has 6 credit cards slots, a pocket for cash and a zippered change compartment on the back. and a little velcro keeps it closed.

the wallet matches my Girls Hayley Purse. the set would make a great gift for anyone at anytime. personally whenever i make myself a new bag, i love to have my wallet and makeup pouch all match. i love to be all coordinated. the matching makeup pouches are coming soon, so stay tuned!

a weekend of custom orders

so this weekend i got a chance to get to all the custom orders that had come my way lately.

first was a lunch bag for one of the girls at the office. I brought in fabric samples for her to choose from and she chose this great embroidered teal fabric. It's lined in black cotton and has plenty of interfacing and batting. I topstiched all of this bag to give it more structure and really love how it came out. When I gave her the bag, she transferred her lunch right into it. There is enough room for a normal sized tupperware and plenty more. She fits her lunch and breakfast in this great little bag. She got the bag to stop using those nasty plastic grocery bags. A little more love for the earth from dbD.

Next was a sunglasses case for another girl from the office. She got a cute new pair of sunglasses, but since they are oversized, she didn't find any cases that the glasses would fit in. So in came dbD and helped her out. The glasses fit in it perfectly and the velcro closure keeps them securely inside. This case is also padded with batting and interfaced to make sure the glasses stay safe and scratch free!

Lastly, a friend from online wanted a wallet to match a bag I have in my store. So the Girly Fold Wallet is here! I liked this design so much that I even made myself a wallet. This wallet has room for it all. It has 6 credit card slots, a cash pocket, and even a zippered compartment for change. Then it has a velcro closure to keep it all safe inside. I think that the Girly Fold Wallets may be making more appearances on the store. That way you can get a great purse and a matching wallet!

Well tonight I have more custom orders to work on, so there will be more pics tomorrow.

Blue goes with everything

...or at least this bag does. The Iris bag has always been one of my faves. It's cute and little and I just love the square shape. It's the perfect little going out bag. Or if you're one of those girls that doesn't need to carry around a lot of sutff, Iris may be right for you.

I've gotten a lot of custom orders this week, so that's keeping me really busy. I'll be posting the cool items once I get them done. I have a lunchbox, a laptop case, wallet and more in the works, so keep checking back to see what is coming up for designed by Diana!

I am also being featured today on TenJewel's blog (http://tenjewel.blogspot.com/). So check her blog out to see a little interview with me!

going green with dbD

so i posted a while ago about going green. well i've been testing out some fabric grocery bags, and they've worked so well that i decided to make some to post on the dbD store. these bags are repurposed, even better for the environment. i just sewed some fabric over the logo on the bags to make them cuter for you to use! i've been using a bag like this for a few weeks, and i love it. they are as roomy as the plastic grocery bags and much more comfortable to carry than the plastic ones.

the first set was teal & pink dots & stripes(seen above). and they sold out in about 3 or 4 days! i will be making a few more sets that should be posted in the coming week. i've been making these in sets of 3, to allow you to do a good amount of shopping with the bags. i've shopped at the grocery store, the pharmacy and even the craft store with these bags. the bag boys tend to give me looks at first, but they get over it and i use that opportunity to tell them that i'm trying to save our earth. so, i hope you like and use the new dbD grocery totes!

totes

so it was time to get some totes done again, but i was thinking how can they be cooler totes? how bout making them reversible? well that's exactly what i did.

here's the first of the Reversible D Totes:

they have a cool pattern on one side, and when you flip them over, you get a solid color tote with a pocket done in the same print from the other side. plus the pocket has a cute button closure.

i really love how these came out and hope you like them too!
