Watching: Christmas movies! I love watching Christmas movies to get me in the holiday spirit. I've already watched Love Actually, and looks like The Holiday might be up for viewing after the Michael Buble holiday special tonight.
Working on: Some handmade Christmas goodies. I'm not going all out and doing totally handmade, but I do have a few things that I'm making for some of my gifts this year. I can't wait to give them to their owners!
Wishing: That it would be cold on Noche Buena and Christmas Day! This is always one of my wishes every year, since I would like to feel a little Christmas-y and not like it's the middle of the summer on Christmas Day.
Thinking about: What to do here on the blog. My interests and passions are changing, and I haven't really known what to share here on the blog. I've been more into fitness lately than crafting and baking. I still like to do these things, but it seems like fitness is taking place as my main hobby these days. I've just started Insanity Max :30, and I'm so excited to see how far I can go. I know I wrote a while back that I was gonna include more fitness on here, but I just don't know how to do it yet. I think I'm just gonna go with the flow and bring you along on my runs and workouts and hopefully, you'll stay on this journey with me. I'm in no way a fitness expert, but I've been thinking that the fitness blogs that I enjoy most are just normal people sharing their love of fitness. And I know that I want to tell people that if I can do it, they can too. I've never been an athlete or into fitness until the last few years, but if this couch potato can get moving anyone can.
Making me happy: Getting Christmas gifts for my friends, cooler weather, holiday get togethers, Christmas cards in the mail, flannel pajama pants, great online friends, holiday baking, wrapping presents, late night movies

Reading: Ok, I'm totally obsessed with Outlander. I just finished book one, and just started the second book Dragonfly in Amber. My best friend, Kris, recommended these to me forever ago, but with the series I finally started reading them. They are long, but I'm so hooked. Never thought I'd lust after a redhead, but then he is in a kilt!
Watching: Outlander, obviously! I can't believe the first half of season 1 is about to end. But at least the new TV season is about to start, so finally, my shows will be back.
Thinking about: All the races I have coming up in the fall and winter. As of now, it's 1 5k, 3 10ks, and 3 half marathons. I can't believe that the girl that never ever thought she could run, is running 13.1 miles!
Looking forward to: Going to Florida Blog Con this weekend. I had such a great time last year, I can't wait to go and learn and meet tons of new friends!
Wishing: That the sun came out later, so I could sleep in more on my long run days. But in the end, it's all worth it to see that I can do it. I never thought I'd be running 10 miles on the weekend (like I did on Saturday!), but I did it! If I can do it, anyone can.
Making me happy: My FitBit buzzing to tell me I reached my 10,000 step goal for the day, new makeup, jumping in the pool on a hot afternoon, talking to friends til all hours of the night, crazy ideas, piling all my hair on top of my head and being told it looks nice.

Reading: Right now, I'm reading "Good in Bed." I was thinking I would really like it, but I'm not. The main character is unrelatable to me and whiny. I'm trudging through it, I thought it would just be some light breezy chic lit, but oh well. I'll take any recommendations.
Looking forward to: A mini-vacation I have coming up. I can't wait to make the little get-away and explore a new city.
Obsessing over: My new FitBit. I'm loving tracking my steps (and I have to say seeing it shoot up on run days!), and seeing how active I am. And I am walking a bit more to get more steps in each day.
Working on: Getting used to my new job. I got a new job about a month ago, and I'm busy learning and getting used to the ropes of it all. But it's been a great learning experience already. I can't wait to soak up even more info.
Wishing: That I could go back to Europe like tomorrow! I just saw Damaris's pictures from her Europe trip, and I can't wait to go back.
Making me happy: hanging with the girls (both in O-town and the 305), mimosas, signing up for races, sunny days, phone calls,

Watching: Netflix. I just got a Netflix account, so I'm watching tons of stuff. Already inhaled Orange is the new Black, and I'm gonna start House of Cards soon. Right now, I'm watching tons of random movies that I never got a chance to see. I really liked that Denzel Washington movie, Flight. It was really good. I think Lars and the Real Girl is on the queue for tonight.
Looking forward to: Being able to go in the pool. Summer is just around the corner, but my pool is still too cold to stand. I'm hoping the weather will be nice this weekend, so I can at least sit by the pool and enjoy the sun for a bit.
Eating: Too much yummy but not good for me stuff. It's time to clean things up in the eating department. I know it'll make me look and feel better.
Making me happy: iced caramel macchiatos, baking cupcakes, long lunches, talking with friends, getting manis, new dresses, cute shoes, weekends, watching movies

Reading: Divergent. I'm trying to read the book before I go see the movie, but I have a feeling I'll be checking out the movie this weekend even though I haven't finished the book yet.
Watching: Finally watching Orange is the New Black. I'm only a few episodes in, but it's pretty good. Can't wait to see what mess she gets into next.
Looking forward to: My next vacation. I think I might cross the pond again, so I'm researching and figuring out where to go. Any suggestions?
Listening to: My iPod again! Last week I accidentally erased all of my music from my iPod while I was trying to upload some new tunes. I was left with Bruno Mars and Frozen. I went back to my iTunes and finally got all my music back on the iPod again. Thank goodness.
Making me happy: late nights, wine, laughter, friends that make the day go by faster, weekends, cute shoes, shopping

Watching: The Winter Olympics. I have it on in the background and catch the events that I like, figure skating (Go Meryl & Charlie!!), bobsled, ski jumping. These sports are all so foreign, especially living in a tropical climate. I love getting a look at all the snow, even if it's melting cause it's not so cold in Sochi.
Looking forward to: RunDisney Princess 1/2 Marathon weekend this weekend! Kris and I will be doing the Enchanted 10k this time, but I really wish we would have signed up for the half marathon (I can't blame us, when we signed up we still had never done a half marathon, so we didn't know if we would ever want to do it again). But our princess costumes are almost ready and I'm so psyched to do another RunDisney race.
Thinking about: Making some serious strides in my business. I've been reading and seeing a bunch of stuff that keeps telling me to do something with my business. The universe seems to be screaming it at me. So, I'm gonna just do the homework and really go for it.
Listening to: I've been totally loving Bruno Mars lately. I blame it all on his amazing preformance at the Super Bowl. He's been on heavy repeat for me and I just can't get enough.
Loving: weekend escapes, compliments, race bling, lunch outdoors, smiles, laughter, new phone cases, cute dresses, discovering new music, hugs from my niece and nephew and talks with my best friend

Watching: The West Wing. I'm totally loving my Amazon Prime
Feeling: Hopeful. There are so many changes happening all around me and I know that more postive changes will come as the year continues. I can't wait to see all of these things happen and change my world for the better.
Thinking about: More races. I don't know if it was a gift from the running gods, but my first half marathon was a great experience. So great in fact, that now I need to do another one. I have one race I'm thinking of doing at the end of March. And I will definitely be going to the Wine & Dine again. I can't wait. Plus, now that I have races, I will be training towards something, which for me is better than just running. And it's also a great excuse for new running shoes. Can't complain about that.
Looking forward to: My nephew's birthday party. He really wanted a birthday party at home, so who am I to say no? The preparations are in full effect and Kris and I are starting to craft away. I can't wait to see it all come together.
Making me happy: cold days, long weekends, new glasses, brand new babies, fresh starts, boots, scarves

Reading: I saw the movie for Beautiful Creatures the other day, and I'm now reading the book. The book is totally different, but I'm liking it.
Enjoying: Baking. I'm loving baking up holiday goodies to share with friends and family. This weekend I made some oatmeal cranberry cookies for the office. And I might bake up a little something more for the gift exchange on Friday.
Working on: Making some Christmas gifts. I'm not going too crazy making things this year, but I do have a few little gifts I want to whip up for the holidays. And I hope to share how to make them here soon.
Looking forward to: This weekend. Kris, Eddie and the kids will be coming to town and staying with me. And I have the girls' holiday brunch this weekend too. I can't wait to see everyone and be able to catch up.
Thinking about: Next year. I've been thinking about what is to come in 2014. I know the changes will be positive. I have a few changes in mind and a few goals I want to strive for. It's gonna be a great start to so many new things.
Hoping for: A white Christmas! I know, it's totally out of the realm of possibility here in Miami, but I can dream. It being a little cold on Christmas would be nice though. This heat is not making it feel very merry around these parts.
Loving: Caramel macchiatos, fresh baked cookies, holiday socks, (I never thought I'd say this) weeknight runs, wrapping presents, time with friends, fresh flowers, Christmas tree lights

Drinking: Tons of water. I gotta make sure I'm really hydrated before the race.
Reading: Or should I say, re-reading. I'm about to start re-reading Catching Fire before seeing the movie in a few weeks. From the latest trailers the movie looks awesome. I can't wait to see it.
Enjoying: The little spouts of slightly cooler weather in the mornings. I'm hoping this weekend will be nice and cool.
Obsessing over: My race costume. I'm "inventing" how to make it and it's not going as I had planned. I really hope that it comes out like the idea in my head looks.
Wishing: That I could just blog and race as my job... a girl's gotta dream right?
Loving: my friends, getting ready for the race, making costumes, cupcakes, Disney, dreaming up new ideas

Eating: Mofongo! I had tons of mofongo when I was in Puerto Rico. Mofongo con pollo, mogfongo con churrasco. It was all delicious. Though nothing really compares to Abuela's homemade version.
Enjoying: My vacation week. It's been a week of traveling non-stop, with only one day of stopping at home in between, but I'm loving it. Can I just be a professional traveler?
Watching: Patiently waiting for the new fall season to start. This weekend is the Emmys, which means that the new TV season will be starting next week.
Looking forward to: Florida Blogger & Social Media Conference. I can't wait to go to the conference and meet up with other bloggers and learn
Loving: Beautiful beaches, spending time with my nephew & niece, flip flops, visiting my bestie, prepping new orders, natural highlights from the sun

Eating: All my fresh organic produce. I started ordering from Annie's Buying Club, an organic produce co-op. I'm just getting through my first order and I'm loving it. I can't wait to pick up my next order on Wednesday. The fruit is so sweet and delicious!
Watching: Degrassi Junior High. This show was my obsession back in the summer when I was little. I would stay in from the pool until "my show, Degrassi" was done. I just foun
Thinking about: All the parties I'm planning. I have 3... well actually 4, in the works, and I can't wait to work on them and see my ideas come to life.
Working on: My half marathon training. I'm officially in week four, which means this weekend's long run is 6 miles! That totally has me freaking out. Plus, it's really gross and humid out, which isn't making things any easier. But I know I can do this and I will get through those 13 miles!
Looking forward to: My mini-vacation beach weekend. I'm meeting up with my girls from NC again. I can't wait to see them all!
Making me happy: Planning parties, spending time with friends, running (though I mostly like the part when it's over), elastic bracelets, talking about the future, vacations, weekends, baking, smiling

Listening to: Positive things. It's really helping me get through the day to hear positive messages.
Thinking about: Changes. I see a lot of changes happening around me and wonder what other great changes this year has in store.
Drinking: Tons and tons of water. I feel like I can't get enough, even though I feel like a camel at times.
Watching: So You Think You Can Dance! I love this show. I look forward to it every season. Watching Dancing with the Stars is so disappointing after seeing what the kids on this show can do. The competition finally starts this week. I can't wait to see the amazing dances from the choreographers done by this year's top 20.
Working on: a couple of new features for the blog. I have a couple of them already written out, I just have to take the pics to accompany it. I can't wait to finally post them.
Looking forward to: This weekend. Some of my friends and I are going to the New Kids on the Block concert to celebrate Karina's birthday. It's gonna be so much fun and a total blast from the past!
Loving: my new car, iced coffee, water, being able to run more than 2 minutes at a time, my new running shoes, the best friends anyone could ask for, birthday month, celebrations, little joys

Reading: The Great Gatsby. I'm trying to re-read it before going to see the movie. The last time I read it was in high school, which means I don't really remember the details, and there's a good chance I didn't really read the whole thing. I'm so looking forward to the movie. I just love Baz Luhrmann.
Obsessed with: The new A Beautiful Mess app! I just started playing with it today, but I can't wait to customized even more pics with their adorable borders and phrases.
Eating: Navel oranges. They are so sweet and juicy. They make the perfect snack or even a little something sweet after dinner. And they are so refreshing straight out of the fridge.
Watching: Season finales. It's a love-hate thing with season finales. I love the season finales, cause they are so good, but then I have to wait all summer for my shows to come back. Tonight I have a triple whammy, The Office's series finale, and the season finales of Grey's Anatomy and Scandal. So much good TV all at the same time!
Working on: The blog and my shop. I'm in the process of a mini facelift and more content and items for both. I can't wait to show you what I've been working on.
Loving: My amazing friends (who continue to kick ass and take names), positivity, becoming stronger every day, tiffi (even when she's being a diva), writing, dreaming

Feeling: Excited. The spring and summer months are slowly filling up with tons of stuff to do. I'm looking forward to getting out there and doing so many things.
Reading: I'm actually listening to Mindy Kaling's book "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?". It's so funny. I love hearing all of her stories and all the things she went through. I really like her before, but totally love her now.
Thinking about: Making things happen. I'm totally freaked out about running, but I'm slowly but surely getting stronger at it. I know doing a half marathon is gonna be so hard, but I'm starting to think I can do it.
Drinking: Lots and lots of water.
Looking forward to: Next weekend! I'll be heading up to Orlando to do Color Me Rad. I can't wait to see my friends and have a great time as always!
Making me happy: Heading out to the Renaissance Festival today, making plans with friends, thinking about plans for the future, the Mad Men premiere tomorrow, a sunny day, wearing my hoodie

Watching: Once Upon a Time. Have you been watching lately? It's getting really good. I love how thye are weaving all the backstories of the fairytale characters together. SPOILER ALERT! I mean Henry is the grandkid of Snow White and Price Charming and Rumplestiltskin? Craziness!
Thinking about: Travel. Where will I be off to this year. I have a few things in mind, but just waiting to see exactly when it will happen. I'll be staying on this side of the pond this year, but I still need to get out there and see a few new places.
Reading: Nothing right this moment, but I just downloaded the Great Gatsby. I haven't read it since high school and I wanted to read it again before the movie comes out this summer. I know the movie will take a different turn, but it's Baz Luhrmann, and I love his movies.
Looking forward to: Getting some sewing done. It's been way too long since I've sat at Sewphia and really made some things. I think it's time to rip the band aid off and just do it. Once I actually get to making something, I get really into it. It's just the starting part that takes forever.
Listening to: Mumford & Sons radio on Spotify. Some pretty cool artist have popped up. I have to check some of them out.
Making me happy: Making plans with the girls for the weekend, knowing I can run 2.5 miles (though it's not happy while I'm doing them), getting some really great deals while I was out shopping this weekend, knowing I'll have sunlight long after I get out of the office tonight.

Watching: I've been catching up on Whitney lately. That show is so funny!
Thinking about: Where to go on vacation this year. I already started planning a trip to Key West with some friends in April, but I'm thinking of somewhere to go maybe in the fall. I'm thinking of staying in the US this year, but anything is possible.
Reading: I'm reading The Happiness Project. I've been hearing about this book for a while online and in the blogs, so I finally got it. It's really great and has tons of awesome ideas.
Planning: Starting a line of a little something new for my online store. I'm still thinking how it would work best and designing the final look, but I'm really excited about it. I'm hoping to have something new to show off soon.
Looking forward to: My trip to Orlando next month. I can't wait to see my BFF and her little ones (who are getting entirely too big!).
Making me happy: The new Zumba class I'm going to, leaving work at a decent hour, re-learning to knit, getting into the groove of sewing again, my new purse

Watching: Being Erica. I found this series a while back on Hulu. I finally started watching it and I'm hooked. A girl goes into time travel therapy, weird, but soo good.
Listening to: Today I'm hooked on Luke Bryan. I found out he's gonna be the headliner at the Chili Cookoff this year, and I totally need to go. The other acts that are gonna play are pretty awesome too.
Planning: I'm helping my friend, Karina, with a girls holiday cocktail. It's gonna be so much fun, and everything is coming out super cute.
Thinking about: 2013. I can't wait for the new year, I feel that there will be some awesome changes for 2013 and it's gonna be a great year all around.
Reading: Nothing right now. I've been so busy, I haven't started anything. I hope to change that soon.

Halloween fun |
Watching: The Daily Show. I catch up on it on Hulu while I'm working. Gotta love some Jon Stewart.
Listening to: Les Miserables. Yes I'm a total musical theater dork and am geeking out with Les Mis before the movie comes out on Christmas.
Thinking about: What exercise I'm gonna get into now. My trainer is taking a break for the holidays, but I want to stay toned and still active. I'm gonna attempt to run/walk with Monica's Pile on the Miles. I did 2 miles Sunday morning. Wish me luck. And feel free to recommend any strength training I can work in too.
Also thinking about all of those affected by Sandy. Be safe and listen to the warnings you're given, it's for your safety!
Wishing: It was next week already, so I could be on my way to Disney World. I'm taking a little trip to visit the mouse with Mom and Grandma. Grandma hasn't been in years, so I'm sure it will be fun.
Loving: That it's finally fall! It finally cooled off here in Miami (it's in the 60s this morning... brrr!) and starting to really feel like the holidays are coming. I might have to adjust my Halloween costume for the weather, cause it's just a tank top and a tutu.
Reading: Right now just mostly blogs, but I'm thinking of starting Harry Potter 4 again or possibly A Modern Witch.
Making me happy: Halloween candy, making costumes, my crazy friends, cooler weather, doing my hair in crazy styles...

If you really knew me...
I saw this post on Sometimes Sweet, and thought I'd give it a whirl. So here goes nothing.
If you really knew me...
...you'd know I become obsessed with TV shows and love to watch them live (not TiVoed) when they first air. I sometimes get so wrapped up in their worlds that I dream I'm there with the characters. This weekend I dreamt I was hanging out with the people from the Newsroom, and we were all just at a bar chatting about their co-workers and mine. So weird.
...you'd know I'm a big time procrastinator. Why not wait til the last minute to do something? That was always my motto in school and even later in life. I did most of my papers in school the night before they were due. And when I used to write for a magazine, I did them same thing. Now if I have a deadline for a sewing project I'll usually push it out to the last minute. I always get it done, I guess I just like the pressure of the last minute stuff.
...you'd know sometimes I just don't want to sew. Sometimes I'm just burnt out, but sometimes the thought of sewing just seems like drudgery. It seems like a hassle to lug out all the stuff and cut the fabric to start making something. Though, once I actually get started on a project it doesn't seem like a big deal at all. But getting started sometimes is the worst part of all.
...you'd know that this is not where I imagined I'd be in my life at 33. Life threw me for a total loop at 30, which means now at 33, I'm nowhere where I thought I would be. I thought I'd have a family, kids and that whole deal, but apparently it wasn't meant to be for me right now. So I'm really trying to make the best of it and enjoy what I have now.
...you'd know that I don't do pink. I used to wear pink when I was younger, but now I wouldn't be caught dead in pink now. I think I went into pink overload, since my childhood bedroom had pink carpet. I had to work with that pink, since I couldn't change it, so I just got over the whole pink thing. You won't catch me in anything pink, but my brother, Richard, on the other hand loves wearing pink.
...you'd know that I was a total nerd in school. Like super smart, honors classes nerd. (Oh and I had glasses since I was 3, so I don't think that helped either). In hindsight, being a nerd was pretty good. It made college a breeze for me, and now I have tons of useless information in my brain on the off chance you wanted to know that Virginia (the state) was named after Queen Victoria, the "Virgin Queen." And sometimes I still feel like the nerd, but it's all good, cause you know nerds actually rule the world. ;)
So that's a little about me. What are some thing I would know if I really knew you?
