I love patterns, I have a huge stash of them in my sewing room. I have patterns for costumes, clothing, home dec items, bags, really anything you can think of. This week
McCall's patterns are on sale at
JoAnn's Fabric and Craft Stores for only 70 cents (you read that right, less than a dollar!), so I had to take advantage and scoop some up.
My JoAnn's did not have a pattern book for some strange reason, so I only grabbed this pattern yesterday. Isn't this hat fabulous? I hope I have time to make it before my beach getaway in a couple of weeks.
And I may go back and get this one too. This dress would be perfect for the end of summer, and I can always use a maxi that I could customize to my short stature.
This romper has piqued my interest too. I've been wanting to get a romper, so making one might be the perfect excuse. The shorts version looks adorable.
I love how a pattern gives me the building blocks to make something, and then I can make it truly original with my choice of fabric and trim. I think I may have to start sewing up one of these tonight.
What patterns have you bought or made lately?
Note: I am not associated with JoAnn's Fabric and Craft Stores and this is not a sponsored post. I just wanted to share a great deal with you!
Love that dress ... I might have to commission my favorite seamstress for one :)
