30 for 30: Day 30!

I made it! I did all 30 days in the 30 for 30 remix challenge. I never ever thought I would. I even kept up with my pictures. I'm amazed at myself. I already have shopping plans for tomorrow... I need some new summer clothes!

I'm so happy! Only one day left. I can't wait to get my hands on my other clothes. But I do thinkg I've learned about remixing, so I hope to come up with great new combinations.

I totally love the combination of red and teal. Plus my awesome handmade ring matches just perfectly. Only two more days left! I can't wait to go shopping and wear all of my shoes.

The end of the month! And only 3 more remixing days left to go. I never thought I'd make it this far. But I have, and it's almost done. I had thought up this outfit a while ago. I wish I had some more teal accents, but overall, I like the casual stripes with the dressier pants.

Yesterday due to the filming I skipped the 30 for 30 it was just too crazy. I just wore my workout pants and a t-shirt, since I was sequestered to the dining room. But today is Oscar day! And I also had a Handmade Miami meeting.

I think this outfit is kinda a little cheating... but I don't care. They are filming a TV show (Spanish language) at my house today and tomorrow, so it's been crazy. The crew showed up before I usually even get up for work.

Winter is officially over here in Miami. Today it's supposed to be 84. That's it. Summer is here. Hot humid miserably hot summer. Did I mention hot? I think I wouldn't be able to survive without central A/C. So today was the perfect day to wear my green dress. With a denim jacket to protect from the cold A/C at work.

What a bummy day. I just did stuff around the house, I didn't even put on shoes. Well I did put on some shoes to go get evaporated milk at the store that Mom and Grandma needed. But other than that it was a chill day at home. I cleaned up my craft room and helped Grandma set up for her luncheon with her sisters. Please excuse my slackness.

The long weekend has arrived. First on the agenda was a birthday lunch for one of my friends. I never thought of layering this tank underneath the v-neck, but once I thought of it, I couldn't wait to try it.

I can almost see the finish line in the horizon! It's supposed to be hitting 80 today (I know this sounds awesome for those of you that have spent weeks in the cold, but with summer looming here in Miami, we take as much cool as we can.), so I needed something cool and comfy. Now maybe it was a little too cool with this 3/4 sleeve cardi, cause I nearly froze my booty off with the office a/c today, but I defrosted in no time once I stepped outside. I also wanted to add a brooch to the cardi, but the one I wanted was in grandma's room and I didn't want to wake her up just to accessorize.

This morning was so gross it was raining on and off, so I figured the boots would be the best option. But wouldn't you know it, by mid-morning it was sunny. Go figure. I also hadn't worn this jacket yet. It's pretty cute, though it's a little large. I figure since I can cinch the waist, it wouldn't look too super huge or anything.

Finally on the second half of the challenge. I think this challenge is forcing me to see and use my clothes in a different way. I took my teal tank today and wore is backwards. And voila! A boatneck top. I think it looks pretty cute.

Half way there folks! I noticed that there were two pieces that I had yet to wear. So I mixed up my green dress and tucked it into my jeans to make a top out of it. What do you think? I think it looks prett cute, if I do say so myself.

Today I had to drive home, but first I picked up a new camera! I had been eyeballing my friend Kris's Nikon Coolpix s4000, and luckily she saved the flyer for a place in Orlando that had it on sale. It came in a bundle with a cute purple case and a memory card. I'm so happy to have a working camera and I'm also really glad to be out of the car.

Now I took this pic at home in a new location. I'm not thrilled about it and I need more camera practice, but it'll do for now.

Another day in Orlando and another 4th birthday party to attend (a friend of my nephew). It was cold, but thankfully not as cold as it was yesterday. And I was happy to wear my striped top. I got it a few weeks back and love throwing stripes into the mix.

Today was my nephew's 4th birthday! When we went out this morning to take him to get his 4 year pictures taken, and it wasn't just chilly, it was downright cold. Now my grey cardi is cute and all, but it's not very warm (it's no thicke than a t-shirt). So I was gonna buy a long sleeve t-shirt to wear under my red t-shirt, but remembered I had a warmer sweater waiting for me i my car. So, I had to break a rule to stay warm today, instead of shopping though, I opted for the grey sweater. It was at least the same color of the cardi. And body was really greatful for the warmth.

It's vacation day for me! It also meant I was driving to Orlando, so comfort is of great importance. I love this dolman sleeved top, and putting it in the 30 for 30 challenge was a great way to get it into more outfits. Now it was muggy this morning in Miami, but is a little chillier up here in Orlando, so for this evening's festivties I may add the brown cardi and brown boots.
